Welcome to Mighty Runner

Hello, my name is Kaci and I am a runner.  I wear many hats and have had multiple careers but the one thing that has stayed constant is that I love to run.  

When I was little, my playground was the middle school track near my house. I spent hours playing on those lanes, jumping in the sand box (long jump pit), and orchestrating games and exercises for my sisters and cousins.  Even then, I loved how running created such freedom for me.  

As I got older, I loved how running helped me manage the stress of school and work.  I could go out for a run and it would clear my mind.  I felt like I had a fresh start to whatever was on my plate.  I was always a hard worker and determined to do well in college and then in law school.  

I believe running was a way to manage it all.  When I run, I feel like my true self:  a person who wants to be free, to push hard, to feel pain and to push through it to experience that release of accomplishment.  

My years of running have left me with highs and lows, injuries and ailments, but the best thing about running is that it has shaped the person I am today.  

My goal for Mighty Runner is to inspire others to love (or at least not dislike) running just half as much as I do.  I hope that everyone has the opportunity to feel the way I feel from training my body and my mind with running.
